AROUND THE WORLD
In just 30 days Rick and I will start a 30 day trip of a life time - flying over both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, through all the time zones, and spanning 60 degrees latitude going as far north as Copenhagen and as far south as
Singapore sitting just north of the equator.
Our trip begins with a week in Albania, where we will work with our team to teach children. We end our trip with a week at a CRM convention in Malaysia.
Rather than returning to the USA in between these two events, we will spend a few days in three cities as we travel from Europe to Asia. After Albania Travis will join us in Rome. Our flight to Malaysia takes us through Copenhagen so we spend a few days there exploring Scandinavia and then we continue on to Malaysia through Singapore where we spend a couple of days. Here will will do a night safari. What kinds of animals well we see on this ‘always hot' island?
From Singapore we fly on to Langkawi, Malaysia. This is an island that is described as a resort. I believe it is the yellow dot just below the top left corner on the map below.
By this time Rick and I have been on 7 airplanes. So we are glad that our return trip will only be just two.We have just a short flight from the island to Kuala Lumpar and then one long flight all the way to LA. Oh yes, we still have to get to Phoenix.
In Malaysia we attend with Travis a CRM Conference held every four years for all those in CRM world wide. Each convention is held in one of the places where CRM is doing ministry.
Rick and I are looking forward learning more about what Travis is doing and sharing this experience with him. We are asking God to give us direction - do we have a place in CRM and if so what does it look like?
While at the convention I am imagining walks on the beach, taking in local market shopping and cable ride to the top of a volcano and much more. We will attend meetings and have lots of opportunities to meet the people Travis connects with all over the world. We will be learning more details about this trip in the days to come.
Albania is a very different trip. Rick and I will be staying in the home of an Albanian family. We are told they speak English, but maybe it will be a language learning exchange. While the children are in English and computer classes in the morning, we may have an opportunity to help. In the afternoon we will do a Summer Day camp. The children will have games, crafts, lots of fun and most importantly some classes.

How you can be praying for us:
The Work: That our agenda will be laid aside and we will do what we are suppose to do for the greater purpose.
Relationships: With the Albanians, that each of us will connect with one person become friends for a long time.
With the Team as we work together, live together and support each other
With each other as Rick,Travis and I enjoy this time together
Travel safety: The logistics of this whole trip are big so pray for connections, luggage arrival and flight safety.
